Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Marcus Stoinis scored his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) century during his team's league stage match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepauk on Tuesday. Stoinis, playing his 90th IPL match, completed his century in 56 balls with the help of nine fours and five sixes. He did this by taking two runs off the ball of Mustafizur in the 18th over.
After the dismissal of Quinton de Kock (0) in the very first over, the 34-year-old player came to bat at number three. The Australian was involved in fifty-plus stands along with Devdutt Padikkal, Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda as they chased down the target of 211 and helped LSG cross the finish line against CSK by six wickets with three balls to spare.
